 Fostering

Providing a temporary home for a homeless dog or cat is the bridge between life and death.  Countless dogs and cats are euthanized every day because there are simply not enough foster homes.  Sadly, a large number of these pets are seniors.  Many of these pets have been loyal and loving companions to their family and have been turned into the shelter because of their age.  Imagine the fear and stress these animals must feel.  You can erase that fear by becoming a foster home.

SOS will provide food and vet care; you provide the loving and safe home.  If you have wanted a dog or cat and can’t afford one, or you don’t want the long term commitment, consider becoming a foster home.

Volunteering

SOS Animal Rescue has many volunteer positions available.  We need volunteers to man booths at events, transport animals, bake for bake sales, help at barbecues, walk dogs, sell tickets  and  plan events.  Some of these opportunities are perfect for students.

Some organizations require a minimum number of hours.  Not SOS.  We recognize the contribution of part time volunteers. Whatever you are able to contribute, we are more than happy to have you.

Please contact us today if you are able to contribute to our program.
